Since 1977, beginning with a garage-built family boat (the J/24), J/Boats has been an undeniable pioneer and leader in the sailing world. With the Johnstone family still at the helm, the manufacturer remains a predominant name in the one design, performance cruiser, and racing yacht market.

The J/70 Speedster (22.75 feet) is J/Boats’ first ramp-launchable, keelboat – designed to fulfill the need for an easy-to-own, high performance one-design that’s exciting to sail, stable enough for the entire family, AND easy to tow, rig, launch and sail. Since its introduction in 2012, the J/70 has become the most prolific sportboat in the world with 1800+ boats sailing in 30+ countries. It all started with a boat that’s a BLAST to sail!

The NEW J/7 is a modern 23’ (7m) keelboat with a huge, sit-in cockpit, easy-to-handle sail plan, and built-in stability that’s second to none in the size range. This is the perfect sized daysailer – roomy enough to bring the whole gang, and small enough to tow home behind a mid-sized SUV.

The J/7 is engineered and built to meet the rugged demands of daily program use, directly benefiting from the 45+ years of experience gained from the use of the J/22, J/24, J/70 and J/80 in institutional programs worldwide. The J/7’s hull, deck and structural bulkheads feature composite sandwich construction with biaxial E-glass, vacuum-bagged Corecell foam core, with high density core inserts for high-load deck hardware. Strength-to-weight, this is one of the toughest J’s ever built.

Sailing can be the world’s best family sport. The key is a boat that holds the attention and interest of many types of sailors, young and old. J/80 does it all, with thrilling 15 knot rides under spinnaker or relaxed sunset cruises with mainsail only. SAILING WORLD rated J/80 as easier to handle, less intimidating, safer and better suited for sailing offshore than other modern sportboats tested. If you would like to expand your sailing horizons with a modern sportboat outside protected harbors and lakes, there’s only one choice: the J/80.

The J/9 daysailer has a deep, secure cockpit (8.4’ long) with four great corner seats to nestle into and enjoy the day. With friends and family aboard, everyone can find the perfect place to relax. Access aboard for all ages has never been easier. A swim platform behind the cockpit allows walk-through boarding, and on those downwind sails home, you can cool off by dragging your feet in the water. This is the most comfortable J/Boats cockpit ever!

The J/99 (32.6′) does it all – combining great sailing performance and stability with belowdecks comfort in a boat that can be sailed by just one or two people. The deck layout and sailplan are optimized for easy handling, while the roomy cockpit accommodates 8+ for fun daysailing. Want to jump into the next adventure-style overnight race or cruise rally and can’t find crew?  No problem. The J/99 will reward you with easy, high speed sailing whether solo, twin, or with the whole gang.

The NEW J/36 offers the style and comfort of a well-appointed cruiser with the race-winning performance of the J/112E – a design that’s been winning hearts and silverware around the world since 2016. The new name comes with a new deck, new cockpit, and new styling to provide more cruising appeal and sailing versatility.

The J/40 is an offshore-capable, high performance cruising yacht capable of double-digit speeds with exceptional comfort, both in port and at sea. From the same team that launched the award-winning J/112E, J/122 and J/45, comes an exciting 40-footer that boldly pushes the envelope on performance, versatility of use, and cruising comfort.

The J/45 is the next-generation Performance Cruising yacht that may change all of your sailing plans. Leading-edge hull design meets refined interior design to raise the bar on cruising comfort and performance like no J before it.

Effortless, Enjoyable Sailing
The J/45’s feather-light touch on the helm and easy reach of the sail controls delivers pure enjoyment as you sail in perfect balance across a wide range of conditions. The J/45 can be sailed solo, cruised by 2-3 couples or large family, and pleasure-sailed or raced with room for the whole crew. This is an investment grade yacht that won’t require a professional crew to sail, handle or maintain.
