Joel Bays

Growing up on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis Maryland, Joel’s lifelong love for sailing, windsurfing, and power boating was sparked at a young age. His passion for ocean sailing began during his first delivery on a Swan 55 from the Abacos to Charleston at the age of 15. Since then, Joel has clocked over 20,000 nautical miles, captaining a variety of racing and cruising yachts.

Joel combines his passion for the water with a desire to help others. Whether it’s finding the perfect yacht or securing the best deal for your boat, Joel’s approach makes him an ideal broker to navigate the market. As an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor and experienced captain, Joel offers private instruction, helping new boating owners gain the confidence to sail anywhere in the world.

Residing on James Island, SC with his wife and two dogs, Joel embraces every opportunity to hit the water.
