The redesigned Beneteau 473 combines extraordinary interior comfort, volume, and
light with bluewater strength. Designed by Groupe Finot, this design offers a unique
combination of elegant lines with extraordinary space and performance. In this 2-
cabin version, the galley runs along the starboard hull from the base of the stairs to
the aft bulkhead. The galley is L-shaped and provides plenty of work space as well as
good ventilation. Through the bulkhead at the rear of the galley is a door that leads
into the cockpit locker and which can serve as extra storage space.
Forward of the galley is the U-shaped dinette with a bench amidships. The table
lowers to form a double berth. Across from the dinette is a straight settee, aft of
which is the substantial, forward facing, nav station. Behind the Nav station is the
head which can be accessed from the salon or from the aft cabin, which lies through a
door in the aft bulkhead.
The forward/master cabin has plentiful storage, light and airflow and a queen-sized
bunk which can be accessed from the foot at either side. The forward head has a
separate shower.
