Colin Rupp

Colin grew up in Charleston, SC, and currently lives in Charlotte, NC. With over 25 years of sailing experience, Colin began sailing at 7, coaching at 15, and still races competitively to this day. Colin and his wife recently bought a 50’ sailboat in New York and brought her down to Charleston. Colin is an avid racer, competing across the country sailing J-Boats and other larger keelboats. While he loves sailboats, he also enjoys spending time on and selling power boats for their simple, turn-the-key-and-go nature.
You’ll often find Colin blasting up and down Lake Norman on a J88 or E-Scow or perched on one of the lake’s many beaches on a 23′ Sea Fox enjoying the lake life and fresh water. If he’s not on the lake, then he’s in Charleston working on his sailboat or taking friends out to show them the waters he grew up on.
